Information Resource Center

The library was established in 1931 at the former Kokand State Pedagogical Institute. Initially, the library fund consisted of 3,737 books. On June 20, 2006, according to the Presidential Decree PQ-381 'On organizing information library services for the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan', it was transformed into an Information Resource Center.

The departments of the Information Resource Center serving users operate as follows. The information-library resources service department is open for students and faculty from 8:30 to 16:30, and the reading room is open from 8:30 to 21:00 without a lunch break.

On the first floor of the 9-story building, a 'Mobile Library' operates for visually impaired and low-vision students of the university. Working hours are from 8:30 to 16:30. 'Small libraries' of the Information Resource Center operate in student dormitories 1, 2, and 3.

Day off - Sunday.

According to the Presidential Decree PQ-26 dated January 24, 2025, 'On measures to further improve the activities of higher education institutions in Fergana region', and the letter No. 26.02.03/58-465 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated 2025, paragraph 35.1 of the 'Roadmap', the general book fund of the regional branches of the I. Karimov Technical University and the Tashkent Institute of Arts and Culture was transferred to the fund of Kokand State University. Therefore, the network library of the Information Resource Center of the Faculty of Engineering and the network library of the Information Resource Center of the Faculty of Art Studies and Sports are operating.

In addition, network libraries of the Information Resource Center serve at the Faculty of National Handicrafts and Applied Arts and the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies.
