About the department
The Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment was established in 1996 and operates on the basis of decisions and decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as joint decisions of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports, and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.
The department employs 1 head and 4 methodologists. According to the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 600 dated August 23, 2017, the department includes four methodologists, an educator in each student dormitory, and a university psychologist.
Main directions of the department
Spiritual and moral education
Educating students in the spirit of high spirituality, national pride, tolerance, patriotism, and respect for the law.
Social activity
Encouraging youth through various projects, initiatives, volunteer movements, startups, and innovative developments.
Leisure organization
Organizing sports, culture, art, theater, literature, technical creativity, scientific circles, and club activities for students.
Educational and preventive work
Protecting youth from bad habits, drug addiction and alcoholism, religious extremism, and destructive ideas.
National values
Organizing events dedicated to traditional holidays, historical dates, and the heritage of great scholars.
Cooperation relations
Cooperation with mahallas, state and non-state organizations, youth unions, and creative associations.
Career guidance
Preparing students for future professions, expanding opportunities for professional development and internships.
Monitoring and analysis
Assessing the effectiveness of activities, identifying student needs, and developing new programs.
Department goal
Ensuring the spiritual and moral development of students in higher education institutions, educating them in the spirit of national and universal values, patriotism and civic responsibility, developing intellectual potential, increasing social activity, and forming a healthy spiritual environment.
Department activities
The department carries out the following activities:
- Organizing conferences and presentations to study the speeches and works of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and conducting outreach events.
- Regularly acquainting teachers, staff, and students with the spiritual, political, and economic achievements of our country.
- Organizing 'Enlightenment Lesson' classes.
- Holding meetings, open dialogues, round tables, and competitions aimed at educating students in love for the Motherland and the ideas of national independence.
- Ensuring the regular operation of scientific, artistic, and sports clubs for meaningful student leisure.
- Organizing events and meetings to promote a healthy lifestyle among teachers, staff, and students.
- Active participation in events at the republican, regional, and city levels, organizing the wide celebration of state and national holidays.
- Regular exchange of experience with leading universities of the republic.
- Coordinating cooperation with parents, mahalla citizens' gatherings, the center for spirituality and enlightenment, public organizations, and foundations.
