International Webinar on Adaptive Sports and Physical Education
The Department of Physical Education at the Faculty of Arts and Sports organized an international webinar on the topic: “Adaptive Physical Education and Sports at the University: Working with Students with Disabilities.” The event was one of the first international online platforms hosted at the university and actively involved professors from Yelabuga Institute (Kazan) and the Volga Pedagogical University (Tatarstan), along with KSU’s Department of Physical Education faculty members and graduate students.
During the webinar, participants discussed modern methodologies in adaptive physical education and shared experiences on organizing effective sports sessions for students with disabilities. Innovative approaches, technologies, and training methods based on international practices were also reviewed.
Professors shared practical recommendations aimed at students’ physical development, health improvement, and social adaptation. Graduate students and young instructors demonstrated contemporary adaptive techniques through practical sessions.
Additionally, webinar participants exchanged ideas and provided valuable suggestions for potential future collaborative projects. At the conclusion, it was emphasized that such international online platforms serve as an important tool for promoting inclusive education and a healthy lifestyle at the university.
The webinar was recognized not only for its scientific and pedagogical significance but also as a practical event contributing to the expansion of students’ physical capabilities and the promotion of sports among youth.
