Dear professors, staff members, and dear students!
The year 2025, which is drawing to a close, will be remembered in the history of Kokand State University as a significant milestone—a year of large-scale reforms and substantial achievements. Throughout this year, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our university community, its strong scientific and intellectual potential, and collective unity, notable results have been achieved in the fields of education, science, and international cooperation.
First and foremost, important steps were taken to expand academic programs and train specialists in line with labor market demands. Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, the opening of 20 bachelor’s and 12 master’s degree programs has created broad opportunities for young people to master modern professions and plan their future with confidence. To ensure effective management of the educational process and enhance transparency, the digital platform edu-department.kokandsu.uz was developed and successfully implemented.
International educational practices have been consistently introduced at the university, and the entire teaching process in the fields of economics, management, and banking has been organized in English. Academic curricula were updated based on the experience of leading higher education institutions worldwide, elevating the quality of education to a new level.
The year 2025 was also marked by significant progress in science and research capacity. During the year, 8 faculty members earned the Doctor of Science (DSc) degree, while 58 obtained the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Today, 278 Doctors of Science and PhD holders are actively working at the university, raising the scientific capacity to 44.4 percent. Hundreds of scientific articles were published in international and national journals, inventions and software products were developed, and textbooks and monographs were issued.
Significant achievements were also made in the field of international cooperation. Seventeen international memorandums were signed with leading higher education institutions in Europe and Asia, and funds were attracted through Erasmus+ and other grant programs. Academic mobility of students and faculty expanded considerably, and foreign professors and students were actively involved in the educational process.
On the eve of the New Year, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all professors, staff members, and students who work tirelessly for the development of our university. Your dedication, initiative, and commitment contribute greatly to further enhancing the prestige of Kokand State University.
May the coming New Year bring you good health, family happiness, scientific and creative success, and new achievements. I am confident that our team will continue to move forward toward high goals with even greater determination in the year ahead.
Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Dilnoza Khodjayeva
Rector of Kokand State University
