Kokand State University students familiarized themselves with the operations of a drywall manufacturing plant

In Uzbekistan, initiatives aimed at expanding cooperation between higher education institutions and manufacturing enterprises, enriching students with practical knowledge and skills, and enhancing their competitiveness in the labor market are being actively implemented. As part of these efforts, an on-site familiarization trip was organized for students of the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences at Kokand State University.

Sixteen students from the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences visited a drywall manufacturing plant located in the Economic Zone of Kokand city. The purpose of the event was to acquaint students with production processes, strengthen their professional skills, and explore future employment opportunities.

The trip began with a visit to Rishtan district, where students observed the world-famous pottery-making process, including clay preparation, shaping, glazing (angobe) application, and firing. This experience provided practical insight into the material composition, thermal processes, and physicochemical changes involved in traditional folk art.

Afterward, the participants visited the drywall plant, where company specialists conducted a step-by-step presentation of the production processes. Students also learned about the plant’s digital monitoring systems, energy-efficient equipment, and environmental solutions aimed at minimizing waste.

This visit helped integrate students’ theoretical knowledge with the realities of industrial production and contributed to building a pool of qualified specialists for local enterprises.
