“Knowledge Day” Celebrated with Grandeur at Kokand State University
On September 3, large-scale events dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year and “Knowledge Day” were held across the faculties of Kokand State University. From early morning, students, professors, and parents were welcomed in a festive atmosphere accompanied by the sounds of karnay-surnay and doira performances.
The solemn ceremony began with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Participants sang the anthem together and stepped into the new academic year in high spirits.
Ahmadjon Husanov, First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, along with faculty deans, warmly congratulated the gathering on the start of the academic year. In their speeches, they emphasized the value of independence, the advancement of science, and the importance of supporting the intellectual potential of youth. Students were also urged to demonstrate active civic engagement, strictly adhere to principles of academic integrity, and take initiative in innovation.
As part of the event, honorary professors and lecturers shared their life experiences with the youth, stressing that perseverance, discipline, and dedication are the keys to success in science. First-year students who had achieved high entrance scores shared their impressions and promised to make effective use of the educational opportunities at the university.
The festive program continued with poetry recitations: verses on Homeland, knowledge, and independence inspired an uplifting spirit among the audience. Short student performances and musical pieces by the youth ensemble added further beauty to the celebration.
Following the ceremony, students were guided to their classrooms under the supervision of tutors.
