Openness and Transparency – Key Principles in the Fight Against Corruption
At Kokand State University, awareness-raising and educational activities dedicated to combating corruption are being carried out consistently. Each year, a comprehensive action plan in this direction is developed and implemented, which helps to strengthen legal culture and systematically prevent corruption within the institution.
In the current academic year, special attention is being given to raising the legal awareness and culture of university staff and faculty, fostering an uncompromising attitude toward corruption, ensuring openness and transparency at all stages of the educational process, and timely identifying and preventing violations.
To this end, the first meeting was held at the Faculty of Arts and Sports. The event was attended by Mirzobek Mahmudov, Head of the “Compliance Control” Department for Combating Corruption, Faculty Dean Associate Professor Jamshid Tojibayev, Registrar’s Office specialists, deputy deans, and faculty members.
During the meeting, participants discussed in detail the legal norms related to anti-corruption, the consequences of corruption offenses, as well as their negative impact on society. Speakers emphasized the importance of ensuring integrity and transparency in the education system, increasing responsibility in the fulfillment of official duties, and put forward proposals aimed at preventing corruption-related behavior.
It should be noted that such meetings on combating corruption are also being conducted step by step across other faculties of the university.
