“For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People”: Lessons of Independence at Kokand State University
At Kokand State University, under the motto “For the Motherland, for the Nation, for the People,” the “Independence Lesson” was held simultaneously across all faculties. The main purpose of the event was to strengthen the idea of independence in the minds of young people, to enhance historical memory, and to foster a deeper sense of patriotism.
During the lessons, the historical and cultural essence of independence was thoroughly highlighted. Students learned about the struggles and sacrifices of ancestors who dreamed of living in a free and prosperous country, as well as the challenges faced on the path to independence. In addition, the achievements gained in our country within a relatively short historical period after independence, the reforms being implemented, and their positive impact on society were emphasized through concrete examples.
Across all faculties of the university, including the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, the “Independence Lesson” was conducted within a unified concept. Lecturers and teachers delivered interactive sessions on the value of independence, national identity, civic responsibility, and respect for the law. The use of historical sources, statistical data, and real examples of current reforms helped demonstrate the practical significance of the topic.
At the end of the lessons, students received detailed answers to their questions. They also shared their views on the essence of ongoing reforms, opportunities being created for youth, and transformations in the education system.
These lessons will continue regularly throughout the academic year as an integral part of the university’s spiritual and educational activities.
