Fergana State University Student Wins in Liverpool and Reaches Quarterfinals

The World Boxing Championship among adults, being held for the first time in Liverpool, England, is in full swing.

More than 500 boxers from 60 countries are competing in this prestigious tournament, which will last until September 14.

Among the participants is Humorabonu Mamajonova, a student of the Faculty of Arts and Sports at Fergana State University, who is proudly representing our country. On September 7, she achieved her first victory. Competing in the -57 kg weight category, Humorabonu confidently defeated Montenegro’s representative Boyana Goykovich with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the quarterfinals.

Our student will now step into the ring again on September 10 to fight for a spot in the semifinals.
