Literature Enthusiasts Recited Shavkat Rahmon’s Poems by Heart

At the Faculty of Humanities and Languages of Kokand State University, a literary and educational event dedicated to the work of the prominent poet Shavkat Rahmon was held. Professors, teachers, and students of the faculty took part in the evening.

The program began with a brief lecture about the poet’s life and creative activity, followed by students reciting some of his most famous poems from different periods by heart. The readings left a deep impression on the audience.

During the event, students discussed how themes of homeland, friendship, and human values are reflected in Shavkat Rahmon’s works. Several student performances and poetic compositions were warmly applauded.

One of the participants, student Dilhayot Sotiboldiyev, shared his thoughts:

“Shavkat Rahmon’s poetry inspires us, the youth, to love our homeland, to respect national values, and to uphold humanity. Such events not only bring us closer to literature but also strengthen our sense of national pride.”

The significance of this poetry evening was to spark young people’s interest in national literature, encourage students to study the poet’s work more deeply, and enrich the cultural and educational environment. At the conclusion, the organizers announced their intention to continue such literary gatherings and to support students’ creative initiatives.
