Prospects of Theatre Art Discussed at Kokand State University

Today, on September 18, at the Department of Art Studies of the Faculty of Arts and Sports of Kokand State University, a Republican scientific-practical conference was held under the theme “New Uzbekistan – Theatres of a New Era.” The event gathered professors and lecturers, researchers, young scholars, as well as representatives of the arts sector.

The conference opened with a welcoming speech by Umidakhon Boltaboyeva, who emphasized the importance of the event. Afterwards, a series of academic reports were presented on theatre art, stage performance, and contemporary aesthetic processes.

At the plenary session, the faculty members of the Department of Art Studies delivered scholarly presentations on topics such as the formation of acting skills, stage interpretation in the work of contemporary Uzbek actresses, artistic aesthetics in theatre, the role of folklorism in stage performance, and the correlation between theme and idea in theatrical art.

Within the framework of the conference, sectional meetings were also organized to discuss issues such as the integration of education and production in theatre, cooperation between “education–creativity–science” in stage and screen arts, as well as the role of art and culture in building the foundation of the Third Renaissance.

This scientific-practical forum became not only a platform for exchanging experience but also contributed to defining the prospects for the development of theatre art in the context of New Uzbekistan.
