The Rector Met with the University’s World Cup Medalists
As you may know, our students recently achieved great success at the World Belt Wrestling Cup held in Novocheboksarsk, Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation, winning gold and bronze medals.
From October 8 to 11, around 300 athletes from 15 countries competed in this prestigious tournament. Students of the Faculty of Arts and Sports of Kokand State University — Ozodbek Salimov (57 kg) won a gold medal in the freestyle category, while Abdulazizkhon Mukhammadov (62 kg) earned a bronze medal in the classic style.
Today, the Rector of Kokand State University, Dilnoza Khodjayeva, met with the World Cup medal-winning students and congratulated them on their remarkable achievements. The Rector emphasized that the students’ success at the international level is a source of pride and inspiration for the entire university community.
— Your victory is a vivid reflection of hard work, determination, perseverance, and patriotism. You have demonstrated to the world not only the potential of our university but also the strength and spirit of Uzbekistan’s youth. Such achievements fill us with pride and motivate us to reach new heights, — said Dilnoza Khodjayeva.
During the meeting, the athletes received honorary certificates and memorable gifts. The event concluded with a warm conversation and a group photo.
