Festival of National Values — A Celebration of Identity

At the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Economics of Kokand State University, the “Festival of National Values” was held to promote the rich traditions, customs, and culture of our nation, and to strengthen the sense of national pride and self-awareness among young people.

The festival aimed to instill the country’s cultural heritage and folk traditions into the consciousness of the youth, fostering their upbringing in a national spirit. Opening the event, the dean of the faculty, Vahobjon Khojayev, emphasized that national values are the spiritual foundation of the people, and preserving them for future generations is the sacred duty of every young person.

Throughout the festival, students showcased their talents in various forms — national dances, folk games, stage performances, and displays reflecting traditions and customs — all of which left a deep impression on the audience.

The most exciting moments came during the sports competitions, particularly the rope-pulling contest among young men, which embodied teamwork, unity, and vitality. The students’ mutual encouragement and the spirit of friendship and solidarity were vividly felt throughout the event.

The “Festival of National Values” became more than just a celebration combining art and sport — it served as a spiritual school, nurturing in young hearts a deeper sense of national identity, respect for history, and pride in their heritage.
