“Days of the Newspaper ‘New Uzbekistan’ Held at Kokand State University”

As part of the “Newspaper Days” event, Kokand State University hosted a meeting with representatives of the central publications — “New Uzbekistan” and “Pravda Vostoka.”

The event began with a speech by Sharifjon Pulatov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, who emphasized the importance of reading books and periodicals in the personal development of young people, as well as the role of reading culture in shaping their outlook.

Later, Ulug‘bek Asrorov, First Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the “New Uzbekistan” newspaper, gave a detailed talk about the positive changes taking place in our country, the pressing issues covered by the publication, its content and structure, and the newspaper’s future plans.

As noted, today “New Uzbekistan” operates not only in print but also in the digital space, regularly providing its readers with news, analytical articles, video interviews, and discussions through the internet and social media.

During the warm and engaging meeting, a quiz was held among students. Those who actively participated and answered questions correctly received memorable gifts.

The event was organized to increase young people’s interest in the press, familiarize them with the work of national publications, and promote a culture of reading.
