Effective Occupational Safety Measures at Kokand State University

The Vice-Rector for Finance and Economics of Kokand State University, J. Azamov, presented information regarding the university’s efforts to improve working conditions, prevent workplace accidents, and carry out the prevention of occupational diseases.

It was noted that, in accordance with the instruction of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 12, 2025 (No. 01-24-284), and within the framework of the “Targeted Program on Further Improvement of Working Conditions, Prevention of Workplace Accidents, and Occupational Disease Prevention,” a detailed action plan was developed and is being consistently implemented at the university.

As a result of these measures, during the first 11 months of 2025, no workplace accidents, injuries, fatalities, or cases of occupational disease were recorded among the university staff. This demonstrates that the university administration, together with the Department of Civil and Occupational Safety, has been carrying out effective preventive work in this area.

Officials emphasized that efforts to ensure a safe working environment, prevent occupational risks, and protect staff health will be steadily continued in the future.
