Dormitory Expenses for Certain Categories of Students to Be Covered by the State Budget
By Resolution No. 32 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2026, the procedure for covering accommodation expenses of certain categories of students residing in student dormitories of state higher education institutions at the expense of the State Budget has been approved.
This benefit is available to children from families included in the “Social Register” who are studying in full-time education. Payments are made regardless of whether the student is enrolled on a state grant or a tuition-fee (contract) basis.
According to the resolution, students are admitted to dormitories on a priority basis, without waiting lists. If no state-owned dormitory is available, students may be accommodated in residences built under public–private partnership arrangements. Payments are transferred to the student’s bank card on a monthly basis by the 15th of each month.
