"Books — Lessons of Life": a competition showcasing students’ creative potential
At the Faculty of Philology of Kokand State University, a contest of essays and presentations was organized under the slogan “Books — Lessons of Life” as part of the “Essential 90 Days” project by tutor Shohista Mahkamova. The aim was to promote a reading culture among youth and encourage their interest in books.
During the competition, students expressed their creative perspectives and attitudes toward reading through meaningful essays and presentations. Each participant reflected on their favorite book, the life lessons it taught them, and the significance of reading in society.
According to the results, the 1st place was awarded to Hamidakhon Muhammadjonova, 2nd place to Mukhlisakhon Abduvalieva, and 3rd place to Maftunakhon Muhammadjonova. The presentation by Kamolakhon Abduqahhorova was recognized as the “Best Model Presentation” and received special praise.
The competition not only enhanced students’ creative thinking and passion for books but also enriched their skills in public speaking and free expression of thoughts.
