Preparations Begin Ahead of the International Handicrafts Festival In preparation for the 3rd
International Handicrafts Festival, scheduled to take place in the city of Kokand from September 19 to 21 this year, a meeting was held at Kokand State University under the leadership of the university’s First Vice-Rector, Akhmadjon Khosanov.
During the meeting, important tasks were outlined to beautify the city areas hosting the festival, especially the streets and public places around the university, bringing them into harmony with the spirit of the event. Responsible personnel were given clear instructions on organizing the streets, maintaining cleanliness, and improving the overall aesthetic environment.
After the meeting, a working group inspected the streets surrounding the university. During the visit, the need for practical measures was emphasized—such as standardizing advertising banners, repairing pedestrian paths, renovating building facades, installing nighttime lighting, and increasing the number of waste containers.
These efforts aim to create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere for guests while preserving the historical and well-maintained image of Kokand city. They represent a crucial stage in ensuring a high-level preparation for this international festival.
