A “Modern Girls’ Gathering” Contest Held at Kokand State University
As part of the “Topical 90 Days” project, the Faculty of Philology at Kokand State University hosted a creative and knowledge-based contest among female students under the theme “Modern Girls’ Gathering.”
The purpose of the event was to encourage the younger generation, especially female students, to acquire modern knowledge, develop a reading culture, present entrepreneurial ideas, and showcase their talents, while also providing moral and intellectual support.
The contest consisted of four stages:
“Introducing the Group” — participants expressed their views and ideas on the topic “Who is a modern girl?” through stage performances and poetry. Each team vividly portrayed the image of a modern woman as knowledgeable, active, initiative-taking, and appreciative of national traditions.
“Reader of Our Time” — in this stage, students tested their literary knowledge by answering questions about books they had read, as well as the lives and works of the authors. They promoted the importance of reading in enriching a person’s thinking and worldview.
“Business Idea (or StartUp Idea)” — participants presented their innovative proposals in the field of modern entrepreneurship.
“Show Yourself” — the most colorful and emotionally rich part of the contest, where group members demonstrated their personal talents.
At the end, the organizers emphasized that such events are not only a platform for young people to showcase their abilities but also a school of friendship, cooperation, and self-improvement.
