Chess and Checkers Competitions Held Within the Framework of the “Rector’s Cup”
As part of the "Rector’s Cup" and within the scope of the “Important 90 Days” initiative launched under the leadership of our President, a chess and checkers competition was organized at Kokand State University.
The tournament brought together 120 active and talented young participants, selected from 60 neighborhood citizen assemblies (mahallas) of Kokand city, along with students of Kokand State University. The competition was held in two categories — chess and checkers — providing a platform for youth to showcase their knowledge and skills.
The results of the chess competition are as follows:
- 1st place — S. Muhammadiyev
- 2nd place — A. Nurmatov
- 3rd place — B. Bakhodirov
In the checkers competition, the winners were:
- 1st place — Sh. Okhunov
- 2nd place — Sh. Mamadiyev
- 3rd place — R. Fozilov
At the conclusion of the tournament, the winners and prize holders were ceremoniously awarded certificates and commemorative gifts by the Rector of Kokand State University, Dilnoza Khodjayeva.
This competition contributed to increasing young people’s interest in sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle, encouraging the meaningful use of their free time, and fostering an environment of friendship and unity.
