Briefing on Energy Efficiency Held
At Kokand State University, a briefing was held with the participation of Chief Power Engineer Azizjon Ikromov, focusing on energy efficiency and resource-saving initiatives.
In 2024, the university saved 193 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity. Solar photovoltaic stations with a capacity of 683 kW generated 579 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity.
As of September 1, 2025, the following results were achieved:
180 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity saved;
950 kW solar photovoltaic stations launched;
414.2 thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity generated;
reactive power compensation devices installed in 11 university buildings.
The capacity of these devices was distributed as follows:
Arts and Sports building — 220 kvar;
Administrative building — 300 kvar;
6th and 4th academic buildings — 35 kvar each;
Remaining buildings — 75 kvar each.
Additional measures are also being implemented. All boiler houses have been replaced with coal-fueled boilers. By the end of the year, it is planned to install an additional 200 kW solar power station and equip university corridors and staircases with 300 motion-sensor LED lamps.
These measures not only ensure economic efficiency but also make a significant contribution to maintaining ecological balance. It was emphasized that Kokand State University will continue its efforts within the framework of the “Green University” initiative.
