Students United in the “Ecomarathon” Initiative

Protecting the environment, preserving nature, and addressing ecological challenges are the sacred duties of every individual. With this aim, early this morning, members of the “Youth of a Hopeful Nation” project at Kokand State University organized an environmental campaign titled “Ecomarathon.”

The event served as an important step toward promoting a healthy lifestyle, preserving the environment, and increasing young people’s awareness and care for nature.

During the marathon, volunteer students carried out a series of practical activities to turn the university area and city streets into clean, green, and well-maintained spaces. They sorted collected waste such as plastic, paper, and polyethylene, and placed them into designated recycling containers.

Throughout the campaign, environmental awareness and education activities were also conducted to encourage greater ecological responsibility among youth.
