Harmony of National Instruments: International Webinar Held at Kokand State University
The Department of Folk Art at Kokand State University, in collaboration with Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University (Kyrgyz Republic), organized an international webinar titled
“Integration of Instrumental Performance (Based on Uzbek, Turkish, and Kyrgyz National Instruments).”
Professors, lecturers, graduate students, and undergraduates from both universities took an active part in the event.
During the webinar, participants delivered academic presentations discussing the origins, performance styles, and cultural significance of national musical instruments from various countries.
Discussions focused on the musical traditions of the Uzbek, Turkish, and Kyrgyz peoples, highlighting the unique sounds of their instruments as well as similarities and differences in performance techniques.
Participants also shared their ideas on preserving folk heritage, nurturing the younger generation in the spirit of national values, and promoting the art of performance.
The event featured live performances by teachers and students on traditional instruments, showcasing the richness and beauty of folk music through vibrant cultural presentations.
At the conclusion of the webinar, both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in developing performing arts, studying national musical traditions, and implementing joint cultural projects.
