Representatives of Kokand State University Attended the Conference in Jizzakh A scientific-practical conference titled “The Role of Mirzo Ulugbek’s Scientific Legacy in the Development of Modern Astronomy and Education” was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, dedicated to the 631st anniversary of the birth of the great scholar Mirzo Ulugbek and the International Day of Cosmonautics — April 12. Participants from the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies of Kokand State University actively took part in the event, including senior lecturer Ra’no Ibragimova, graduate student Azamjon Ergashev, and students Umarjon Abdulhamidov and Khursanoy Muhammajonova. More than 50 professors and students from various regions of Uzbekistan and abroad attended the conference. Engaging presentations were delivered on topics such as trans-Neptunian objects, the Maydanak Observatory, black holes, stellar evolution, astronomical imaging, and other fascinating scientific subjects. At the end of the conference, a symbolic rocket launch ceremony was held in honor of Cosmonautics Day, inspiring young attendees and sparking greater interest in science, especially astronomy.

Female students of Kokand State University proudly showcased their traditional clothing, expressing their respect for national culture, traditions, and values, as well as their sense of responsibility in preserving them. The unique and beautiful designs of these traditional outfits serve to deepen appreciation for heritage and foster pride in cultural identity. Our students demonstrate that traditional dress is valued not only for its aesthetic beauty but also for its spiritual and cultural significance.

Today, the Higher Education Fair was held in Fergana city with the participation of regional universities, aimed at encouraging high school graduates to pursue higher education. Kokand State University actively took part in the event, providing students with information about the university’s history, academic opportunities, faculties and programs, international collaborations, and student life. Graduates had the chance to get answers to many of their questions.

At Kokand State University, various sports competitions are being held to promote physical activity, encourage healthy lifestyles, and strengthen interfaculty unity among students. Today, the “Dean’s Cup” volleyball matches were organized at a high level between students of the Faculty of Exact Sciences and Digital Technologies and the Faculty of Chemical Technologies and Natural Sciences. Throughout the tournament, students showcased their athletic preparation, team spirit, and strong desire to win. Final results: 1st place — Legion team 2nd place — Biologlar team 3rd place — Everest team The competition played a key role in boosting students’ interest in healthy living and strengthening bonds of friendship through sport.

The second round of the Women’s Higher League volleyball matches has wrapped up in Urgench. Fourteen teams competed in intense games that tested the athletes’ years of experience and skill. 👟 Making their debut in the championship, the “Qo‘qon SU” team played seven matches. Though they secured victory in only two games, this is considered a promising result for a debuting team. Each match provided valuable experience for the team’s volleyball players. The team is currently returning to Kokand, determined to achieve even stronger results in future competitions

This event was organized as a continuation of systematic efforts to cultivate healthy thinking among youth, strengthen spiritual resilience, and counter harmful ideological influences. The university leadership, representatives of the Kokand city administration, tutors, professors, and students actively participated in the gathering. During the session, participants received in-depth insights into the supremacy of enlightenment over ignorance, the role of knowledge and critical thinking in societal progress, and the evolving ideological landscape of the world, where threats to peace and harmony are increasingly intensifying. At the end of the event, students had the opportunity to ask questions and received thoughtful answers to many of their concerns.
